Surf Training in video

Philippe & Nora will welcome you at the train station or at the airport for the transfers to the surf camp.

For week sessions, you will arrive at the club on Sunday’s evening and you will leave next Saturday’s morning.

The lessons are of 1heure 30 whatever is the formula which you hold.
They take place on the beach of Marbella or on the beach of the Basques in Biarritz or on the beaches of the VVF / Marinella to Anglet.
If needed, we have two minibuses which allow us to move on the multitude of spots in which abounds the Basque coast and the coast from the Landes.

Surf lessons are from Monday to Friday, made by a state graduate instructor, maximum 8 persons per monitor.
Two sessions are possible : intensive session (with 2 lessons a day) and relax session (with 1 lesson a day). Surf level are from beginner to improvement.

Of the simple lesson in the training course of complete surfing, the equipment including board and wetsuit is supplied.

With a park of more than 100 boards, we are able to propose you a varied and evolutionary equipment adapted to your level. Mini malibu and evolutionary of Ball-point, pairs of shorts board shapés by Samy, NSP, foam boards for the smallest and the bodyboard, of which to satisfy the tastes and the desires for each.

For more comforts wetsuit RIP CURL shorty (short legs, short sleeves) or complete works is systematically provided you with. By concern of hygiene, wetsuit are rinsed every day with a disinfecting product.

The Equipment is it supplied?
Yes in every case (except the surfing guide optional) boards and wetsuit adapted to your level, of quality and evolutionary. (See section the equipment)

What do I have to bring for my stay?
Besides your clothes for all the duration of your stay, you need a sleeping bag, your towels of beach and dress, and for all we recommend  sunscreen and hat.

Who gives the surf lessons?
State-certified monitors and Swimming coaches rescuers supervise you in groups of 8 persons maximun.

How many hours of Surfing a day?
The number of lesson a day varies according to the chosen formula.

And if I am novice?
Our school proposes you introductory courses, of training and of improvement in surfing and bodyboard. The sea conditions in which you surf are naturally adapted to your level

From which age let us can begin us the Surfing?
From 7 years and there is no age old to surf, the main part being to know how to swim. For the in-house formula, it is necessary be at least 14 years old. We have of the adapted and evolutionary equipment, after all depends on your physical condition and on your diligence

Needs it an insurance?
You have to have an individual third-party insurance covering the practice of the surfing, know how to swim 25 meters and have no contraindication in the practice of the surfing

Are the training courses all year?
The school is opened from April to November

What takes place it except the surf lessons during an training course to the week?
For the minors, the space spare time is managed by a team of instructors(monitors) BAFA.
The program of the time-outs of the day is reserved,either for rests (deserved well), or for diverse activities such as beach volleyball, tenpin bowling, bathings and idleness on the beach or the shopping in town.
The activities can also vary according to the current events surfing in Biarritz (competition, Projection)
For evenings, the same thing, it is always by agreement and with supervision that they are organized.

At what time are the surf  lesson during the day?
For the quality of waves, everything depends on the tide and on the size of the swell. Generally, the best conditions of waves are at the rising middle-tide.

~ All the sessions are ensured by graduate monitors and swimming teacher rescuer.
~ Groups are made of 8 person’s maximum per instructor.
~ For the minors, framing 24h/24h is proposed for a 16 persons group maximum per week, and a family and cordial reception is reserved.

Surftraining offers a large and homely loft-style accommodation. You will also find a courtyard, where you can sunbathe when you’re not busy surfing or doing other games. We offer the perfect summer surfing camp for teenagers, where they can make friends, master surfing and have an unforgettable experience.

Surf Camp organization

During school holidays, if you book a full week, arrivals are on Sunday afternoon and departures on Saturday morning. We provide return transfers starting from the train station or Biarritz airport to the surfing camp accommodation. During low-season, days of arrival/departure are flexible.

We have 4 bedrooms with a capacity of 2 to 4 people and each one includes a private bathroom.
You have the opportunity to meet meet the rest of the students in our large, decorated common room where you can review your surfing performance when the instructor has shot a video of you (this is an important educational tool), to eat meals when the weather is colder or simply to relax.

There is also an open plan kitchen should you still be hungry (after all the delicious food we provide you with!). Snacks, fruits and juice are available at all times as well as tea and coffee. During the summer months you you will usually enjoy your meals outside in the courtyard. There are chill out areas where students can also relax between surf sessions.

Minors : supervised all day long

With a maximum of 16 people a week, everyone gets to knows each other very quickly, and the group becomes like a tight knit family. Meals are therefore extremely good fun when everybody sits down together at the table, along with the interns and the groups leaders.
As our aim is to have a surfing camp for teenagers, we accept children from the age of 14 in our surf camp (meaning with no parental supervision). During their stay, they are supervised 24/7 by Philippe and his wife Nora, and also a team of youth leaders that organise the kids’ free time as well as evening activities. Depending on the surf-related events (competition, open-air movie screening…) that the city of Biarritz offers, the team will arrange the timetable so as not to miss those enjoyable moments.

Novice surfers or proven, you are looking for a cozy place with the ability to surf independently ?

Surf training offers the Surf House . Only available in July and August. Reserved for people over 18 years , surfing House offers studio apartments for one to two people and one apartment up to 4 persons .

This apartment of 45m ² and these studios 20m ² are brand new and decorated with care. Both include a kitchenette and a separate bathroom . The apartment has 1-2 bedrooms .

For your convenience we offer you the option of linen and cleaning at end of stay .

Access courses “à la carte” at discounted rates (optional) and well as equipment hire whatever your level .

At 300 meters from the beach and a few minutes walk from downtown , you will discover Biarritz in the best conditions.
From July to August , stays are from Saturday to Saturday ( 14pm arrival , departure 10am).

For those who want a holiday with a taste of the “surfing spirit” and atmosphere but also more free time and privacy, Surftraining Biarritz offers the perfect Biarritz surf housing, in the form of our Surf Lodge.

The Surf Lodge is reserved for people that are 18 and over and gives you the opportunity to have a more flexible timetable adjusted to what you are looking for: a more intense or, conversely, relaxed stay at Surftraining.

This apartment has three bedrooms with two bathrooms, is brand new and decorated in a refreshing and tasteful style. A living room featuring an open kitchen allows us to offer several packages including full board, half board or even B&B. As with our other courses, the surf board and wetsuit comes included in overall price.

If you feel like you would benefit from practicing some more outside class time, it is possible to rent boards and wet suits from our welcome tent on the Cote des Basques.

The off-season period, starting from August 30th and lasting until November 7, will allow us to offer different packages, matching your needs a lot more precisely because we’ll be a lot more flexible and better adjusted to flight times from major airports in the UK and other European countries. Please note that these products are just available in Half board (full board on demand for a group).
