The Ocean Divine is without a doubt the most luxurious custom built surf charter vessel in the Maldives and probably only 2nd behind Indies Trader IV in the world. 110’ of pure luxury, Ocean Divine is a labour of love for French owner/operator; David Mesnard has lived in the Maldives since 1990 and predominantly worked in the dive business.
David is a highly regarded Free-diving and Scuba Dive Instructor and also a keen surfer. David along with expert crew including an EXPERT Australian surf-guide look forward to welcoming you onboard ‘Ocean Divine’ for the trip of a life-time.
David has worked onboard charter vessels catering to discerning divers for many years and this vast experience has given him invaluable insight into the needs, wants and desires of the live-aboard charter passenger. .
David along with the expert crew will anticipate your every need whilst cruising the Maldives Islands onboard the 5 star + Ocean Divine.
Ocean Divine, décor is Balinese style elegance with water hyacinth lounges and chairs with luxury cushions, unique furnishings and artwork coupled with state of the art entertainment systems and the latest technology.
The magnificent main lounge area with mahogany floor boasts a huge plasma screen where you can view your day’s action whilst sipping a refreshing beverage in a comfortable chair at the end of a hard day in paradise.
David’s brother will be on many charters to film the action and display it nightly and then prepare you a souvenir DVD of your trip on your departure.
There is a massive DVD library onboard for all the latest movies and action flicks.
The entire vessel indoor and out is rigged with speakers linked to the main BOSE stereo (very powerful) and the music can be controlled to be audible in whatever region desired.
For the businessman or those who require internet and email access, this will be available at all times whilst onboard. Cell phones work throughout the Maldives if you need to stay in touch.
Accommodation is in 7 individually climate controlled cabins complete with queen size bed + single with well appointed ensuite bathroom. Each cabin is equipped with your own plasma screen and DVD player also so you can relax with your partner and watch a movie in bed.
1 x 70sqm VIP cabin is available for 1 couple at a premium price. This cabin is the largest of any vessel in the Maldives and boats a king size bed, personal office, lounge area and huge open plan bathroom.
This is a suite fit for a president! (POA).
The aft area on the main deck is very spacious and this is where you will dine.
Capturing fresh ocean breezes whilst dining on the finest quality fresh seafood and produce prepared by a gourmet chef.
Breakfast is cereals, fruits, fresh breads and eggs cooked to your desire, lunch is buffet style with the evening meal being 3 course Ala-Carte.
Special dietary requirements will be catered for.
Freshly brewed coffee is available around the clock along with a range of international teas.
The bar is well stocked with French wines and champagnes, Cognacs, all manner of spirits along with a range of international beers. Your bartender can create your favourite drink or introduce you to a new cocktail sensation.
You may wish to take your drink to the top sundeck/bridge and feel on top of the world with a panoramic view of the islands or adjourn to the mid deck sun-lounges and relax with your novel whilst listening to some international chill-out music.

If its action you want, its action + you’re going to get. David along with our Australian Surf-guide will have your adrenalin pumping within 1 hour of waking.
Ocean Divine has 3 tender boats :
- 52’ Surf/Dive boat that will take the surfers from the tranquil anchorage to within metres of the World Class Maldivian surf-breaks.
Also used for scuba divers.
- 2 x Dingy – 18’ with 85hp and 11’ with 15hp – gives you the option to break up the group and surf various breaks simultaneously. Also used for fishing.
- A brand new Jet ski – approx. 1100cc is onboard, primarily for safety however it is sure to provide some high speed fun and tow-ins in uncrowded conditions.
Extensive game fishing gear is onboard for the serious angler and the Maldives offer a vast array of game species of all sizes.
If you would like to learn to scuba dive then you can complete your PADI ticket whilst onboard Ocean Divine.
David is also a very accomplished FREE DIVER and is happy to pass on his expert knowledge to anyone onboard.
This could be of particular interest to surfers who would like to learn to hold their breath longer when in serious hold down situations.
Pamper
We realise that non surfers/divers sometimes are neglected on surf trips whilst their pleasure/adrenalin seeking partners are having the time of their lives surfing.
One thing is for certain, the non surfers on Ocean Divine will be happy to see their partners depart for a surf in the morning so they commence their days pampering in the Ocean Divine day spa complete with masseuse and beauty therapist.
Unique Add ons
David has agreements with the tourism ministry to take tourists to various uninhabited island in the region for ‘Robinson Crusoe’ evenings. This can be pre-arranged prior to your trip or whilst onboard. Imagine spending a night ALONE with your partner on your very own deserted tropical island complete with 4 poster King Size bed in luxury camping style. Your waiter serves your French Champagne and a lobster dinner and then leaves you with a 2 way radio and goes back to the boat.
The island is then your very own ‘hedonist hideaway’ where you can do as you please until you call the boat to retrieve you in the morning.
Departure & Itinerary for 2012
WEEKLY DEPARTURES -
Ocean Divine Surfaris will operate from the 27May 2012 till the 21October 2012.
Charters are 7 night durations with scheduled Sunday to Sunday departures.
Example itinerary as follows :
Day 1 : Met on arrival by 52’ boat and transferred to Ocean Divine in Male’ Harbour.
Welcome drink and supper on arrival then off to sleep.
Day 2 : Crew will up-anchor at first light and relocate Ocean Divine to the surf region (North or South Male’ atoll). By approx. 6.30am surfers will be able to jump in for their first surf.
Day 2/8 : 7 days cruising the Nth and South Male’ atolls, surfing, fishing, beachcombing and enjoy the luxuries of Ocean Divine.
Day 8 : After lunch at approx. 2pm, passengers and luggage will be transferred to the 52’ boat (equipped with shower, toilet, sundeck etc.) whilst Ocean Divine returns to Male’ to reprovision/re-fuel etc. for the next trip commencing that evening
Spend the afternoon surfing/swimming/relaxing etc. on the 52’ boat with a light dinner prior to delivery to Male’ airport approx 2 hours prior to your flight departure
