All of the 49 'naturally modern' guest rooms feature 7ft by 7ft super king beds, open plan bathrooms, and state-of-the-art entertainment systems with plasma screens, Bose DVD players and surround sound. The Spa enrobes guests in exclusive experiences and environs whilst offering an array of signature treatments, yoga and meditation along with the ancient South Asian healing art of Ayurveda.

Inspired by the Dutch Fort design, there are five distinct styles of guest rooms and residences, each creating sensual living spaces with a naturally modern twist. All are designed with either private courtyards or balconies, with views onto the magnificent gardens, water features or golden beaches out to the Indian Ocean. Fortress Rooms
The Fortress Rooms feature a super king 7ft by 7ft bed dressed in Egyptian cotton and an open plan bathroom with rainfall shower and bath. Rooms open out onto your own courtyard or garden balcony.

Ocean Rooms
Located on the upper floor with views into the gardens, beach and the Indian Ocean beyond… Highlights of these rooms include the open plan bathroom with large bath and split-level living area with magnificent views and feature high vaulted ceilings.

Beach Rooms
Similar to the Ocean Rooms, the Beach Rooms are located on the ground floor. Guests also have the added bliss of enjoying a Jacuzzi bath.

Ocean Lofts
The design of these split-level rooms creates a one-of-a-kind experience on each of their two separate floors. Guests enter into an oversized living room with indoor plunge pool, inviting daybed, plasma screen and Bose DVD sound system. The upper floor houses one bedroom, showcasing a designer bed adorned in soft Egyptian cotton and a sumptuous day bed. The stunning upstairs bathroom features both rainfall and wall showers.

Fortress Residences
The ultimate in sensual living space, The Fortress Residences are both on the upper floor of The Fortress and each feature one, two or three bedrooms and outdoor dining deck. Each offers guests astounding experiences, with a private cantilevered infinity edge pool to enjoy magnificent views of the coastline. Guests staying in these residences are pampered by their 24-hour personal butler, catering to their every whim.

Heat

Homemade ice cream, a customized salad with fresh ingredients and dressings of choice prepared-to-order at your table, and hot creations from the wood fired pizza oven such as a Sri Lankan Curry pizza, and wraps (from Greek to Lebanese). The Sea Lounge offers cocktails with a modern twist, tea infused cocktails and other hip concoctions while surrounded by glistening lights and a starry night sky. T Lounge
T is the open-plan, airy Sri Lankan tea lounge with spectacular sea and garden views, which offers the flavours, aromas and traditions of Ceylon through tea. With a central preparation area, guests can watch and learn about the tea making ceremony and the story of Ceylon tea. Over 30 Dilmah premium handpicked teas are on offer, including many specialties such as ‘white tip tea’, which is said to fight infection and strengthen the immune system.
