PRESENTATION

Arugam Bay a small fishers' village, is one of the world's top ten surf locations, known for its fantastic waves, which attract surfers from overseas. Come and discover the beauty and charm of this sandy paradise. For 20 years Arugam Bay has been closed to tourists and surfers because of Tamil fighting.

ARUGAM BAY (April to October)

Those 20 years of civil war have saved the bay from the tourists invasion, and turn the place into a paradise for surfers ! Aragam Bay is the best surfing areas in Sri Lanka & offers some exceptionally fun point breaks.

Located on the East Coast of Sri Lanka (9 hours drive from Colombo). In the Aragum Bay region there can be found approx. 6-7 surf points, some with rides up to 1 Km in length. Some named breaks are Arugam Bay Main point, Pottuvil point, Okanda point, and Crocodile Rock point. Average wave size ranges from 4 - 8 Feet. Most of surf points are secret & untouched.
